In our first year at University, we studied art history and one of the most striking techniques that the old masters used was called chiaroscuro. This is the use of strong contrast between light and dark and it gives a very dramatic effect to an art piece. This inspired this design. With its dark background and bright flowers, we tried to capture a bit of that magic.

Description

This dark and dramatic floral design features proteas, poppies, orchids and hibiscus flowers in tones of pink, soft orange and rust and is set against a dark black background. In art history one of the most striking techniques that the old masters used was called chiaroscuro. This is the use of strong contrast between light and dark and it gives a very dramatic effect to an art piece. This inspired this floral design. With its dark background and bright flowers, it captures the feeling of mystery and drama.

*Note: All fabrics are washed and pre-shrunk and as a result size may vary with a few centimeters.
